What is a Wound Care Center?

The DMPrevent American Wound Care Center specializes in the treatment of chronic or non-healing wounds, which are defined as wounds or sores that have not significantly improved from conventional medical treatment.

Wound care impacts all of us. It can start from a cut or a blister that doesn't heal or it can be associated with certain medical conditions such as diabetes, poor circulation, or immobility. Non-healing wounds lead to a lower quality of life and, if untreated, may lead to amputations. When wounds persist, a specialized approach is required for proper healing. Typically, a wound that does not respond to normal medical care within 30 days is considered a problem or chronic wound.

The team at DMPrevent can help. With the state-of-the-art treatments available, including debridement, Oxygen Therapy, dressing selection, special shoes, and patient education, people with chronic non-healing wounds now have a place they can trust.
